We can build credibility and positive word of mouth for our business by volunteering to assist non-profit charities that are doing good work.
Partnerships between businesses and non-profits can benefit everyone involved.
For the purposes of this article, let's set aside the significant personal psychological benefits of volunteering, and focus on the business equation.
Let's talk about making non-profit organizations part of our word of mouth marketing campaign.
How Can Non-Profits Help Us?
Non-profits have a valuable resource to bring to a partnership with business.
Due to their good work on behalf of others, non-profits have a positive reputation in their community and an established network of supporters.
Non-profits are rich in word of mouth capital.
If we become a welcomed member of the non-profit's community, some of their reputation rubs off on us, and positive word of mouth about our business can circulate through their network of supporters.

The moral of the story is that I'm trying to contribute my business skills to non-profits, so that if I succeed in earning positive word of mouth buzz, it will be for the services my business provides.
